Officially it was, but the game was still released in a LAN-enabled state. Any PS2 game that's LAN-enabled can by played online using PC-downloadable XLink software or equivalent which fools your computer and PS2 into thinking that the Internet is your LAN.

Because there are only about 50-100 regulars on at any one time in SOCOM they all tend to congregate in the same area, so if there's 20 people in the UK room they'll all flock in there, if there's 20 people in the European room they'll all flock in there. Your connection is fine in this respect :)

I spent a while on a couple of weeks ago and you were always playing Killzone, never saw you on Socom, is it just me does everyone go in Europe and ignore the other rooms or is that something to do with my connection?
