...considered writing a book? I've been wanting to for a while now, and actually gave it a try once, but I never really sat down and wrote like I really wanted to.

It's odd because, despite really wanting to succeed, I never had the urge to go on and never really had a story to tell.

So my question is; do you think you'll ever give it a go when you get some point in your life when you have a bit of time?

*writes 13,000 words in half an hour with a magical quill and overtakes FFF*

And Rickoss, I wouldn't delete stuff you've written, you never know when it might become useful. For example, in what I'm currently writing I've found myself using bits-and-bobs I wrote ages ago. Some ideas can have a 'naive/unique' quality which you don't see at the time.

Good luck you two, if your short stories in Life are anything to go by they should end up great.

As for me, I got 10,000 words through a book a while back before realising it was complete tripe and deleting it. I only seem to be able to write as passage of thought rather than actually writing like a story. In short, I suck. :-)

I may give it another go some other time, though.

I'm writing one at the moment. 33,000 words so far. It's a novel about an undead man who is being toyed with by four metaphysical perverts.

I never thought I could or would, but having recently read a few of Samuel Beckett's novellas, and currently reading Ulysses (James Joyce), I've come to the conclusion that I am well capable of writing a surreal novel. So that is what I'm doing. Whether it's any good or not is a different matter.

Don't give up.

Mine's not too complicated, but I've got time plans and glossaries and step-by-steps everywhere. As well as whole section I've cut out and stuck somewhere else.

I'll get there eventually.
Hopefully.

Well it only takes that long if its good. I mean just do a bad one and it can still be a piece of art.

That mofo said it best.
I was working on a book as well, but it got too complicated and I gave it up. I am going to start another one though, maybe even tonight. I'll have to see.

I'm writing a book right now.

45,000 words at present.

It's part of a trilogy.
Everything's worked out in my head. Getting it out is the hard part.

I'd like to, I've had a couple of (lame) ideas. But I doubt I have the talent.

I want to write a book but not a story. I want to write about something real that has actually happened to me that I can really showing emotion and passion for when I'm writing. I'm not saying it can't be done with fiction but I think it'd be easier for me if it had actually happened to me.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Very pleased
Very pleased with the help given by your staff. They explained technical details in an easy way and were patient when providing information to a non expert like me.
