It's odd because, despite really wanting to succeed, I never had the urge to go on and never really had a story to tell.
So my question is; do you think you'll ever give it a go when you get some point in your life when you have a bit of time?
And Rickoss, I wouldn't delete stuff you've written, you never know when it might become useful. For example, in what I'm currently writing I've found myself using bits-and-bobs I wrote ages ago. Some ideas can have a 'naive/unique' quality which you don't see at the time.
As for me, I got 10,000 words through a book a while back before realising it was complete tripe and deleting it. I only seem to be able to write as passage of thought rather than actually writing like a story. In short, I suck. :-)
I may give it another go some other time, though.
I never thought I could or would, but having recently read a few of Samuel Beckett's novellas, and currently reading Ulysses (James Joyce), I've come to the conclusion that I am well capable of writing a surreal novel. So that is what I'm doing. Whether it's any good or not is a different matter.

Don't give up.
Mine's not too complicated, but I've got time plans and glossaries and step-by-steps everywhere. As well as whole section I've cut out and stuck somewhere else.
I'll get there eventually.
Hopefully.

Well it only takes that long if its good. I mean just do a bad one and it can still be a piece of art.

That mofo said it best.
I was working on a book as well, but it got too complicated and I gave it up. I am going to start another one though, maybe even tonight. I'll have to see.
45,000 words at present.
It's part of a trilogy.
Everything's worked out in my head. Getting it out is the hard part.
