WinMX, Kazaa, (whatever)aza etc. have long had connection problems.
Don't know about Limewire these days, but last time I used it, it was still file-heavy and operational.

Changing the subject though, have you given Limewire a shot? Download Limewire basic then use that to crack your way up to Limewire Pro. I've never had any problems with it.
I may be thinking about a different program there though.
What's all this about working your way up to pro?
