they are so many Mp3s you can't connect to and download. I read something about a new file type being developed to make it impossible to share music via P2P but I didn't think it was here yet.

Hasn't that been the case for a long time?

WinMX, Kazaa, (whatever)aza etc. have long had connection problems.

Don't know about Limewire these days, but last time I used it, it was still file-heavy and operational.

Not really, just since christmas.

Changing the subject though, have you given Limewire a shot? Download Limewire basic then use that to crack your way up to Limewire Pro. I've never had any problems with it.

Is limewire ad software free?

Yup. I think it asks you if you want to install some ad crap, but you don't have to.

I may be thinking about a different program there though.
