Have you thought about Gran Turismo 4? The best PS2 release so far this year.

Madden is vastly superior to pretty much every sports series that exists. With Pro Evo and possibly Football Manager/old-style Champ Manager the exceptions.
What you really want to get is The Scorpion King. Anyone would be delighted to get that as a present. :D

Rainbow Six 3... Well, I'm just a huge fan of anything Tom Clancy. Fast past, some good tactical action, nice affects, and probably the best tactical shooter for PS2. If he had an Xbox, buy it for that, but he doesn't say he does, so why antagonise him?

Say wha? You didn't disagree with any of my choices, apart from RS3, SP:CT and Madden 2005. I'm big on NFL, which, I know, isn't everyones cup of tea.
