WOOT!
Come on!
:D
And now, we're looking at more time for Wes Brown to try and replace Rio after having only just come-back from his umpteenth injury himself - and this, really, requires time we don't have (if we are to at least maintain our challenge for success in all-three major competitions).
They may aswell leave the defence/densive midfield at home, because let's face it they don't seem to being doing a hell of a lot? but I refuse to put it down to one player missing from our defence. Yes, losing Rio has been a big loss, but players get injured/suspended in the course of a season does that mean our whole defence decides to collapse?
Yesterday showed how some players just don't have the ability to carry on playing for United and Fergie needs to look at himself and question his tactics. If the likes of Wes Brown, Nicky Butt, Deigo Forlan don't improve their performance I see their United careers coming to an end swiftly - I can't believe that miss from Diego, and the other two just seem to be weak and were muscled off the ball too many times.
I really don't know why G.Neville/Keane were rested (actually I do...for no reason) and why Kleberson was stuck out on the right wing (typical Fergie tactic) when he is a central midfield player and this showed from the very first goal we conceided - Kleberson moved infield leaving a big gap for anyone to move into and shoot from wherever he liked. Ridiculous, when you have Ronaldo sitting on the bench, he did a hell of a lot more when he came on.
The off the field horse/takeover/feuds can't be helping the situation either and I hope this all get's sorted out soon because to be honest with you I am getting sick and tired of it.
Silent-Scope, Clazon - I wouldn't get too cocky about it yet. Many of you did so last season too and look what happened? we are playing poor, yet we are still second in the league - in exactly the same sitution as last season.
Yes, of course I'm talking about Rio Ferdinand!
And, again, we must ask the question; "Why didn't Fergie bring-in a new defender last month???"
I mean, we're not even one full-month into his 8-month ban, and yet, we've conceeding a whopping 8 goals in just 3 games, when, with Ferdinand in the team, in 20 games, we only let-slip about 15 goals!
Either, the board really are having `too-much say´, or, perhaps Fergie didn't want to make Rio feel bad... Signing a van Buyten or someone to play alongside Silvestre could make him feel left-out and, perhaps, even "un-wanted" (for the future)...
However, something should've been done!
If he didn't want to sign the world-class name we need, then, why couldn't he at least have made an attempt to get someone (like van Buyten) on-loan for until May??
To tell you the truth, I'm very concerned we'll end-up trophy-less this summer, because of what he hasn't done. Even Chelski have a better chance of silverware, now! And, yes; you never know... Arsénal could be on for `The Treble´...! We're not. :P
Gary Neville; Wes Brown; Mikael Silvestre; John O'Shea.
Aside from them, who do we really have???
I'm also worried for Tim Howard - he seems to be making one-or-two "simple mistakes" for my liking; the same kind of muck-ups that tarnished Fabien Barthez's career. And why? I don't know exactly, but our weak defence cannot be helping him!
Remember how much pressure 'keepers were under when Stam was sold...
(Well, at least we had Laurent Blanc soon-after!)
I wish we had United this weekend.
------------
I think Rushden & Diamonds wish they had United this weekend.
=D
I wouldn't get cocky about it yet.
Remember last season.
But it is nice, all the same. I wish we had United this weekend.
5 goals conceded at OT in two games, 8 goals in the last 3 premiership games.
