2.Tapestry by Carole King
3.Definitive collection by Stevie Wonder
4.Gold by The Carpenters
5.Legend by Bob marley
6.The ultimate collection by Billy Joel
7.Urban hymns by The Verve
8.The very best of Marvin gaye
9.In time by R.E.M
10.Greatest hits by Elton john
yes i know that they are mostly collections, but when you are poor they are the best option.i think the top four will always be in my top ten,and while the rest are good, they wont stick.
Still:
1) Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
2) Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood
3) Mark Knopfler - Sailing to Philadelphia
4) Counting Crows - August and Everything after (How original am I?)
5) Paul Gilbert - Alligator Farm
6) Iron Maiden - Powerslave
7) Thunder - Shooting at the Sun
8) Eric Johnson - Ah Via Musicom
9) Joe Satriani - Surfing with the Alien
10) Steve Vai - Alien Love Secrets
Tabitha's Secret - Don't Play with Matches also deserves a place. This isn't really in order of preference, I love them all, but straits would probably be top. Communiqué if I had to choose a single album.
Have just updated the songs on my ipod to add the albums I bought today, just looked at all the albums I missed out for this. Doh
i've got ryan adams on my headphones right now, stuff elton john.

I sort of see your point, but there are some truely fantastic songs late on. Ones like "Goodnight Hollywood Blvd", "Wildflowers" and "Harder Now It's Over" are all fantastic. It's one of the few albums I can stick on and enjoy every song on it as much as the last. Was blown away when I first got it but rather dissapointed when I saw him as he did NOTHING off Gold and only 2 songs off Heartbreaker.
