Can someone give me links to or information (plentiful) about any of the following:

(All to do with networking)
-Cables (Fibre Optic and UTP)
-Connectors ST, SC and RJ45
-Protocols (TCP/IP and Netbeui)

I have found most of the information I need, but I cant find the above stuff. I've tried google.co.uk, but I cant find the right search, i just get places that sell this stuff.

I guess after finding over 50 pages + of other info, I really cant find what I need, its hurting my brain ;).

Any help very much so appreciated.

Fair enough, but if the forum is a community then that implies that you have to contribute as well - and put in *at least* the amount of effort into answering your own question as you seem to expect others to. So here's a pointer: the free online dictionary of computing.

If you want help the least you can be is specific. "Tell us everything you know about ST connectors" isn't an attractive question to answer.

Ive tried google.com! And I cant find stuff all!

I just found the acronym finder and got info on there, but theres nothing anyhere that aint to do with buying network parts to do with protocals! So I am now stuck! I have over 40 topic headings all complete and your saying I cant be bothered to do it myself?

I would have thought someone here actually new something to help me or would help me find what I need? Forums are a community, not a place for telling someone they are a lazy bum.

Type them into bloody google. There's asking for help, and asking other people to make an effort on your behalf because you can't be bothered. And you are very firmly asking the latter.

Well, didn't get much response, so I searched and on like page 50 of 180000 I found a few more bits, so all I need to know now is a paragragh (make it clearer) of about 50 words on each of these:

Fibre Optic Networking Cables
UTP
ST Connectors
SC Connectors
TCP/IP
Netbeui...

Or is that same as before? bah I 4get... can someone just giv me links to sites with info on each of the above?

Reading your post out loud takes longer than 20 seconds.
