I know this title is completely ripped off from my 'Better Luck...' post but I felt the need to talk about it more.

I really do think that Microsoft need to start hyping a charachter. I know there is that shaven headded *cough* girl and that Alice the Malice person, but neither of these are anywhere near competing with Mazza or Sonic.

People associate Mario and Sonic with Videogames. They see a blue hedgehog and something clicks, the same happens with Mario. But if a member of the non-gaming public were to drop their glasses and turn their eyes towards Malice they would, pass it on as another cartoon.

Although the success of the console depends on all the games, I strongly think that those games need a leader, it may sound a bit lemmingish BUT it is kinda true.

Mario, odd as the whole idea of him may seem, is a very big success, purely because of his past records of super gameplay and value for money. Sonic is the same...maybe not so much as Mario but Sonic is still a house-hold name.

Microsoft won't really stand a chance without 'someone' to lead the way, if they do aim to succeed whilst being mascotless they will have to try mighty hard.

Another reason that came to my attention as to why they might feel the need for no mascot is because of Sega. Recent deals mean that Sega will now port some of the very successful Dreamcast titles to the X-Box for present and future games, Microsft may think that they will take Sonic under their wing but how can this be, there is a good chance that Sonic will be seen on all the next-gen systems. So as far as Microsoft and them signing Sonic goes, that is sheer lunacy!

I think that this mascot they need to invent needs to come out now...E3 at the latest. Of course we don't know what will happen at E3, very few people do, so there is still time for Bill Gates and the X-Team to get the wits about them.

This is how I feel,...there may be valid reasons to suggest that my theory is a complete load of plunkers, but even Sony had Crash as their mascot to kick off with. Although he was substituted after 5 mins he still boosted sales a fair way!

And just to work cheesily in with the title: Microsoft can't afford to bring anything less than a legend to this battle, the games maybe good but they won't fetch as much hype as Mario of Sonic...

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
10/10
Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
