I keep having dreams that I die in. More often than not I am aware that I am going to die in it, but the odd time I'm not, like in one I was killed by a building collapse during a tornado. The strange thing is, after I have died, my friends can still see me, or my family can still hear me, but never both of these at the same time. A couple of times I have also witnessed my own funeral in these dreams.

Has anyone else ever had a dream like these?

They seem to be the ones that stick in my mind the most. Quite surreal at the time they are.

Oo, they're creepy dreams. Nightmares, even.

I've only ever died once or twice in my dreams. And as usual I try to figure out what they mean! :s
In the books, they say it's new life, or the start of something fresh, wheras without the books, I think it's usually when you're feeling down or something.
But witnessing your funeral? Wow.. now that's not nice!

That was a bit unsettling. I could almost feel my confusion about what was going on in the dream which wasn't nice at all.

I've had a dream where I was a ghost, and I've had several dreams where I die, but I tend to wake up.

The last one that sticks in my mind is a car crash. We're speeding along at seventy in an underpass. I'm in the seat behind the driver. Up ahead just a few dozen metres the underpass collapses. I have a fraction of a second where I know, for absolute certain, that I am going to die. I also know, with utter conviction, that this time it is definitely not a dream. I don't scream. My life doesn't flash before my eyes. I await the inevitable, knowing that in a split second I'll find out whether or not there is an afterlife. I look to a future which may well contain absolute nothingness.

We hit. The world fades away. There's total blackness. I have no thoughts or feelings, it's just black emptiness. A void.

Some time later, I dont' know how long but I always suspect it's a fgew seconds, I snap into consciousness. I suddenly realise I'm still here. It can't be real. It must be a dream.

Then the dream gives way slowly to the sounds and feelings of the real world, and above all the sensation of my heart beating in my chest with a ferocity that is enough to scare me in itself.

Wow, that's creepy. I've had dreams where I've been attacked, where I run away from big evil giants (don't laugh) and even flying with seagulls (really!), but never about dying.

Everytime after I die in a dream, I fall down into this huge purple swirly whole and wake up. Strange.
