Filled with nubile flesh they may be, but for some reason, every time I hear of them / see them I immediately think "'That's Life', with football and t***"
(I *despise* football BTW, so these mags probably won't have a lot to offer me, apart from nudie pictures)
Are there any readers of said publications here? Whats the flesh to football ratio? Are they as mindnumbingly stupid as I imagine and think they will be? Are they simply a watered down "Loaded" / "FHM" with all the good bits (i.e. weird stuff) taken out? Does anyone care in the slightest? Am I just so bored I'll witter on about rubbish?
I certainly won't be buying. "Bizarre" for me and nowt else.

I subscribe to Viz, and occasionally pick up a copy of Loaded, FHM or Front, although Front is pretty much a soft porn mag these days.

There was a free copy of Zoo Weekly in WHS so I took it and yeah, its just a watered down Loaded. Okay for £1 but you get what you pay for.

Paparazzi shots of Vinnie Jones. Paparazzi shots of some Page 3 girl and the posh bird from Big Brother. Pictures of cars. Stories about soldiers and GUNS!!! Two pictures of Nell McAndrew (diverting for about 15 seconds). More pictures of cars. 20 pages of TV listings (like they have in newspapers and on teletext). Football stories, mostly related to what will be on TV.

I think Maxim is a poor substitute for Loaded of FHM. I got a free copy with Viz, I think I only glanced through it. Bah

I subscribed to Maxim because I got an offer through the post for 6 issues for £1. Buy the occasional FHM but these new mags are poor. Arena is funny - they take themselves sooooooooooooooo seriously.
Nuts sounds like the same format as "Heat" magazine.
Nuts and Zoo are just Maxim compressed. Just like those broadsheet newspapers that are now doing tabloid editions. You may as well get the full thing although those magazines aren't my thing anyway. Why would I need to pay for softcore porn and pictures of fast cars? I have broadband.
