Simpsons hit & run is possibly the most un-original game ever made. it shamelessly steals the core of what made the gta series so great- hopping into motors, and speeding round a virtual reality city.oh, shove it. simpsons hit and run is still a jolly good game indeed.......
sprinfield is plesently well designed. Each of the five levels, which have missons, is dedicated to a totally different part of the city, and they're stuffed with instantly recognisable landmarks and characters.
your first instinct will be to zoom off and explore, andits a breat-taking experience. But its the missons that are the function, and indeed the quality of thi game, but as well as often exciting, they also are ythe main flaw of an otherwise good, solid gaming experience.
initially, they are good fun, but can become to repetitive. there are oly so many things you can do in a vehicle,so collecting things is the basic structure to the game. however, to my relief, it does not extend to a point where you will tire of the proceedings, and for there hard effort, thefun of the game wares out very slowly.
all in all, this is a cracker ogf a game. it has fresh contributions as well as one-off features based on a single episode, such as the monorail, and stonecutters tunnel. verging on being brilliant, hit & run is very good, and banishes painful memories of the atrocious simpsons skateboarding.
I can confidently state that this is the best simpsons game yet, and is far more successful than the disappointing futurama game. a real treat, for us simpsons fans.
I rate this product 8/10
