That's life - different strokes for different folks. It's not particularly horrific if you consider the manner in which it all occured. The guy was dead before the worst of the dissection took place, and they even had wine with it!

I'd read that the "victim" cut of his own manhood, and even ate some of it?

It's a bit of a weird case this, not sure what to make of it. Both sides have quite valid arguments as far as I can see. The bloke that got eaten wanted to die, so it's not really an issue that he's dead - it would have happened some other way. Remember that some people aren't that enchanted by what this world has to offer, so they take the quick route out...if that's sitting in your own blood and eating your goolies, I'm not sure - but it wasn't a brutal killing, like most murders are. If it had been in Holland, could he have got away with assisted suicide? It was all on tape - the man had no qualms about dying, or being eaten. But like I said, I'm not sure what to make of it until I know all the facts - which I won't unless I travel back in time, become a German citizen and wangle my way onto the jury. I'm having trouble with the wangling.

I just find it sick that these sort of activities go on. I've tarnished my brain with many stories recently of horrific criminal acts of brutality, and after a while it gets to you.

Didn't the guy answer an advert? And did the cannibal know he was in need of psychiatric help?

Sexual fetishes don't cause the raising of an eyebrow (unless it's to do with harming others; ie beastiality or paedophilia). What is different between spanking and whipping a consenting adult, and eating their penis?

Eh? Nothing morally wrong? Are you human?

So, cutting off a man's penis, cooking it and sitting down and eating it together cannot be considered 'morally wrong'?

What, in your mind, is?

The man has played the law quite well. Cannibalism isn't technically illegal in Germany, and since the man consented to be killed, it isn't murder.

Of course, that he manipulated a man in need of psychiatric help into his home where, upon request, he repeatedly stabbed him and then ate him is an absolute atrocity. That it only lightly brushes the wrong side of the law is hilarious, and you can guarantee that there are a few hundred lawyers working with politicians in any number of countries, not just Germany, trying to tie up the gaps and prevent anything like this happening - or falling through the net - again.
