On the "Guest" account for Windows XP (Pro), is it possible to password protect the hard drive partiony bits, or better still, My Computer?

I'm setting it up y'see, and I don't want the person to be able to access anything but the shortcuts on the desktop.

If this isn't possible through XP, is there software that will do this?
Thanks.

You, my friend, are a God.
Cheers.

Y'see, I've got a Guest account set up on XP Pro, and I don't want them to be able to do anything except run the few shortcuts on the desktop.
Thanks again.

on your original CD, you may have a program called "Group Policies", this may work as you have options to regulate what people can do.

Why not just creat another user account and only have these shortcuts in there and password you user account, i assume this is so no one else goes awondering around your other programs.

Doesn't matter now - I've done the simple thing, which I dunno why I didn't think of before.

I've disabled the task bar.
Yey.

Hehe duh.

Im sure you can lock viewing the harddrive, but it still allows the programs (shortcuts) on the desktop to access what they need. Yeah im pretty sure its possible.
