Nah, i can totally rule out a CPU fault, the chip is renowned for easily doing 200*11, and i tested it, its totally prime 95 stable.

If your motherboard has an inbuild graphics card take out you Radeon and use that for 1 boot, then reinstert the card and it will be as if you had never installed it (low res, low colours etc). Then reinstall the drivers.

Do the same as above but use an old card rather than an inbuilt one.

Clear you CMOS (BOIS). I once overclocked my CPU to 3.12 GHz and the ment the system held on start up with a funny screen. You may say that you haven't changed any CPU speeds for ages, but your CPU may have had a bit of a wobbly. Clearing the BOIS rectifys this.
