I had the misfortune to see “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here” yesterday (Hey, I’m ill with cold, sue me)

Is it me or does anyone else think these trials are incredibly cruel?

Much as I dislike Peter Andre, him sticking his head into a box of cockroaches is certainly going to kill some, as are the times when various different insects / eels are put into the same box around a z list celebrities, eager to jump start their careers, head.

What’s the one that Jenny Bond has to do? Enter a coffin-sized box that’s filling up with water that she is will be sharing with RATS. Regardless of the fact that the rats may be hurt if she moves around, the poor things are guaranteed to be terrified.

I own rats, and they are the most docile (NEVER bitten me), sociably, friendly and intelligent small animals I have owned. I personally hate big spiders, but still find it disgusting that they are used in this way, to provide lowbrow entertainment to the masses.

These faded celebrities have the choice of putting themselves through embarrassing situations. The animals abused (yes ABUSED) on this program do not.

I find this programme absolutely disgusting.

It wasn't until the end that I realised you meant cruel to the animals, not the celebrities. Yeah, I thought that last time round when they made John Fashanu wear trousers full of animals/insects that probably like to eat each other. But when it comes to eating live grubs or squashing cockroaches, you're taking it a bit far.

It was a toss up between putting it in my freezer for consumption at a later date, or eating it there and then.
*taps freezer*
He's still chilling out.

I used to own 6 rats, they are friendly and quite shy creatures to be honest.

I think the whole show is just a farce, they go into the local hotel when the camera's turn off.
