Aye, thats right. It's where my cousin lives in Northern Alberta, Canada, on the same line of latitude as Scotland, pretty much. So count yourselves lucky you dont have those extreme temps.
Oh, and he has two feet of snow....

Yes. I saw a programme about that, and the icebergs melting > more fresh water > less salt water > no Gulf Stream. You see it too?

Did you know that, if Britain had no Gulf Stream, we'd actaully suffer colder temperatures than that?

I remember waiting an hour for a train, and the platform was situated in a wind tunnel, so naturally the wind was biting at our skin.

I'm not even going to tell you what happens if you take a slosh.

Those guys cheat though- they have secret technology that allows them to elevate to the next plane of reality where temps are always comfortable...

Damn I cant even begin to imagine those temps... Yesterday I experienced what it must be like (temperature wise) to be on a sinking ship in the icy atlantic - I was underdressed and standing on train platforms, its safe to say the memories of how much discomfort the cold can put you in, will last ages...
