Thats not entirely true. He didn't lie, he just acted on the intel he had. He still may have messed up, but i wasn't his fault.

Pretty pointless in my opinion.
We seen to have the idea in this country that you get change by sacking (or seeing the resignations) of people who make mistakes. Why not let them continue in their jobs, unharassed, and learn from the mistakes?
