Hi

I was wondering has anyone else experienced large black boarders on their screens while playing Z.O.E and the MGS demo? I'm not talking about the small boarders you usually get around PAL converted games, these boarders are pretty thick and whilst you don't notice them too much during the game, when a cut scene loads up they really stick out!

Does anyone else have this or do I need a new T.V?

No. I know what you mean about the cinematic thing, but the boarders are thicker on the right hand side of the screen and at the bottom in these two games. Not sure why it is less noticable in SW Starfigher, Tekken Tag or Time Splitters (my other games).

Isn't it just a device to make the cut scenes look more cinematic? The technique was used a lot on PSOne as well. Quite often indicating when user control stops and starts again.
