Its blizzarding here in Newcastle, and the radio has announced all public transport has stopped.

I'm driving, but I think I'm goign ot be lucky to get the 14 miles home in less than a few hours..................

I remember those blizzards...how far could you see? I could see about 20-35 metres before. Oh well, it's stopped now...oh pants, it's started again!!!

Well, Thats what I heard emitting from my Bosses computer, as she checked out the online radio (Metro, I think it was)

It blatantly hasn't, considering I got home from college via bus and metro, and am about to ride the metro to work and back again.

I'd hate to be on the roads with a drunk driver loose in this weather.

You can guarantee they'll crash. Or run someone over.

During the last snow we had i hit a kerb and almost lost the back of the car when i was going round a roundabout, even though i was going *really* slow.

Same here, except the worst that happened to me was that I skidded into a high-ish kerb and scratched my alloys up pretty bad. Oh, and I dented the front of the car, but only a little one.

check mirrors, Indicators on, turn slowly into curve, striaghten up, apply brakes, car still moving. car still moving? car still moving?!

Not as bad as driving on ice though. I almost did a full doughnut spin this morning because the tw@ts at the council didn't bother to send gritters out to my neighbourhood...
