For online games we have some brilliant games to play, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3, Mechwarrior and Red Alert 2, they have plenty of choice there that i can list, and yes the online community is growing and is superb fun, but what does it have against a 4 player Goldeneye game, or Mario Tennis or Perfect Dark?
Online games are perfectly graphically superb, with that distant lag around some servers it's dissapointing for some games like Red Alert 2. But whereas Goldeneye had a superb 4 player mode, but you can't have 16 player bouts with people all round the world, but instead a couple of friends.
The problem with 4 player games are the cramp split screen's on a TV even on Widescreen's they are not easy to stare at for long, though Perfect Dark the king of split Screen Multiplay was still the very best 4 player game made since Goldeneye.
But still i argue you should try online gaming more often to improve your gaming skills, however you hardly ever get to play 4 player games so much because your friends hardly come round that often so marvel and show what you've all got to leave them gobsmacked by what you can do!
is there daytona online coming out? that should be
> amazing.
Yeah, for the DC, should be out quite soon.....
I love multi-player games, most of my games have either a multiplayer option or are purely multiplayer games in the first place. I think the best multiplayer you can have is at home...sitting in front of the N64 on the 28' screen TV, Mario tennis, Goldeneye, Conker, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart all lined up. Nintendo certainly have had their fair share of multi-players. Most of them are great and super fun. Mario Tenis and Mario Golf are ones that I would Definitely ones I would personally reccommend!
I do think internet gaming is good but there are so many things that can ruin or upset the gameplay....slow servers, hackers, people out to spoil the fun etc. With in-home console gaming you can simply have a load of fun with 4 or more mates with no problems. There is little that can go wrong with console gaming, playing multiplayer on consoles is the safest and most enjoyable way to get some multi-player fun!

I think my favourite multiplayer game would have to be Super Bomberman on the SNES. I know with games like UT and Q3A you can be playing against more people. But there's something about stuffing your mate in a game of Bomberman thats just soooooo satisfying. Also as your opposition is in the room with you, you can gloat and laugh at them much more than you can if you beat someone at UT, who could be the other side of the country.
