Most of you on here probably don't watch Portuguese football but yesterday in the Benfica vs. Guimaraes match, sadly, Miklos Feher had a cardiac problem and collapsed on the pitch. The 24-year-old was taken to Guimaraes hospital where efforts to revive him continued.

An official announcement was later made by Fausto Fernandes, the clinic director of the Hospital da Senhora da Oliveira (Guimaraes).

He said: "At 21:45 (local time) Miklos Feher, 24, was brought into emergency care with a cardiac arrest.

"Immediately, all emergency measures were taken. This lasted until 23:10, without success, when the player was pronounced dead.

He was a promising young star...Rest in Peace.

Yeah course.

But I don't think it was appropriate for that response...

Ah well

Never. Mind.

It reminded everyone of Foe.

It was stupid that he said it. I thought it would go without saying.

Players these days really should show more respect towards refereeing decisions. Maybe this tragic event will be the catalyst to seeing more respect in the game...

No, it was nothing to do with shock or excitement. His team were actually winning 2-1 and he received a yellow card, starting laughing and then collapsed.

Right ok i am sorry he died and this does beg the question why dont they have regular check ups at the doctors, just like they have to have drugs tests.
