It wasn’t an usual day, we had finished college and were walking home, as we did every day. Walking down the road from college, across to the park and then up onto my estate, it’s usually a peaceful walk – but not today. We were talking about the daily gossip as we always did. Some guy called Spencer has been suspended for the week because he told Mrs Jameson where to shove her textbook. My friend Jamie was in the middle of telling the story when he stepped out into the road opposite the park. I halted at the curb, my dad taught me to be cautious with roads from a young age. Jamie carried on walking, turning his head back as he talked to me.

I looked left and right before decided whether to step out, but saw a car approaching quickly. “Watch out!” I began to shout, but it wasn’t quick enough. It was a jeep that hit him. He didn’t just roll over the windshield like they do in the movies. He pretty much split in two on the bonnet; his legs were dragged onto the wheels and his torso stayed attached to the grill of the car. I don’t know this from the brief flicker of it I saw, but from a coroners report. Road deaths are put to number one priority if there are no murder investigations.

I didn’t get to see Jamie again. I would have run to help him at the scene but the jeep kept on going. The guy pulled into a car park a few hundred meters up the road and ran into the park. I was transfixed with terror on the curb. I knew what had happened but didn’t want to admit it to myself. I called the police and ambulance on my phone and alerted them. They were there within 10 minutes. They donned latex gloves and peeled him off the grill of the car and asked me the same questions again and again.

The car looked like something from a horror movie. I wanted to just wake up, but I couldn’t. There was blood sprayed all up the windscreen, and some yellow colour stuff which an investigator told me was bile from when his stomach popped on impact. The smell was vile, my stomach is empty from vomiting. There were about 20 men there, contained within 50 meters of yellow tape. I’ve given my statement about 11 times already, and have to go to the station tomorrow for a final statement that will go on record.

They’re going to get the guy that took Jamie’s life. They assured me. They have an ID on him from his number plate. He has had 6 months community service for drunken violence, and they think he might have been drunk at the wheel. I hope they get him, and I hope he rots in prison.

Glad you were all able to come to the conclusion it was a story - sorry to anyone who beleived it - I thought "splitting in half" made it too surreal to beleive.

Thanks for reading :-)

I was in a McDonalds once, and the girl behind one of the counters went for the man she was serving! It was crazy, she was shouting and screaming and trying to get over the counter at him! Never found out why. It was midday on a Saturday too - it was packed. The biggest mystery is, why was I in a McDonalds in the first place!?

Hmph!

I thought it was real...

If you want a real story...

I work at MacDonalds, and today I was working out on the Dining Area, cleaning tables and sweeping the floor.
Suddenly, there was the sound of glass smashing.

Malcom, our security guy went dashing to the front of the store.
I followed slowly. When I got there there seemed to be a group of lads and a group of girls swinging at each other.

Malcom and his friend got between them, split them up and sent them out.
It turned out that the girls had smashed a bottle on one of the lads and there was blood and broken glass everywhere.

And it was my job to clear it all up.
Great.

Oh, that was nothing, the nasty bit is coming. :-)

Anyway, I got out the tape and closed off the section where the incident happened and started mopping up the blood.
Once the blood was cleaned it was time to start sweeping up the broken glass.

It was while I was doing that that I found it.
A piece of skin and flesh on the floor, complete with stuble on it and covered in blood.

Turned out to be from one of the guy's chin...

I don't know what the guy(s) had done to provoke the girls, but it was a sick thing what the girls did to them.
We had the police in.
I had to put the piece of chin in a little bag...

Last time I heard, the police had tracked down the guys (which must've been easy. Find the guy with no chin...) but not the gang of girls.
Still, they'll get them in the end.
All their faces were caught on camera.

Now I've just got to find a way of forgetting about that little chunk of flesh I found on the restauraunt floor...

URGH! :-S

I'm sorry but that's the funniest thing I've read today :D

Still a nice little snapshot though.

Um, the way it was written was an obvious clue that it was a story. Just the fact that he was saying it happened a while ago (talking about coronor's reports and stuff) should be clue enough.

And I'm sure after seeing his best friend get cut in two, his post would be more like - "Oh my god! Some ******* killed my friend!" or "I may not be around for a while, my friend was just killed in an accident."
