20gb 3rd generation.
I can't wait.
How else has got an iPod?

I can fit 45 songs on a MiniDisc.
As .wav files if I wanted too.
;o)

With an iPod you get Itunes with it which converts your CD's to AAC file format for putting on your iPod.
But £300 is a bit steep for me. It's the same music, after all. I'm not £300 desperate to listen to music during the walk to college yet.
You can find millions of CD > MP3 converters on the internet anyway.
It's probably not worth getting one anyway, for me; I've got a personal CD player that I haven't had that long. I'll wait till these space age things come down to under a hundred quid, which won't be too far into the future..
And jobs scare me too. I just have one of those rubbish NAPA ones that SR sell, with an extra 128mb in it. 192mb MP3 player WOOOO!
Meh, 45 or so songs isn't too bad.

The one based in the rainforest of South America?

Cheap-er, but not exactly cheap. I doubt I'll get one. Maybe if I get a job...

Check one of those other online retailers that sell electronics. The really, really large one that sells books. THAT ONE.
As far as I can remember a 30GB Zen is about £200. 10GB iPods cost about that much!
