Well? Sounds like a lie, but is it true? If so, where could I get one of these cameras..

I can remember it; T3 had a story about it when it happened, as did a million web sites. The camera had a night vision mode, but if you used a filter on the lens you could use it to see through clothes.

I'm guessing they managed to sell so many before finding out as it required the particular quirk of their night vision technique and whatever this separate lens filtered to work (i.e. wasn't designed to work that way, someone else found out). I would further assume that the results weren't that fantastic.

Seriously though, its true.

Maybe they'd sold 700,000 before they found out what they could do.

How can they accidently sell that many,

If they were planning to ship out that much then why didn't they check the cameras before hand?
