Every time I play a game the thing just crashes. Here are my system specs:
AMD Athlon 2200+ (1.8ghz)
Radeon 9000Pro 128mb (4xAGP)
30gig HDD
512mb DDR PC2700 (333mhz)
WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL.
Lets just clear a few things up about what I have done already:
-I have uninstalled the Catalyst drivers and reinstalled the 3.9 catalyst drivers.
-I have reinstalled DirectX 9.0b
I have run DxDiag. It works for Direct Draw, but when I try to run Direct 3D Tests, the screen turns off or i get a message asking to send an error report to ATI. BUT, if I cancel the DirectX 7 test, DirectX 8 and 9 Tests work fine.
Just an addition, it plays Call of Duty and Battlefield 1942 perfectly as long as you play them as soon as you turn the PC on and after that all games crash.
Also, it IS NOT HEAT. This PC USED to be on Windows 98se, and it runned perfectly fine. I have run the PC with the case off and i really dont see how upgrading the OS can make it generate any more heat.
I don't know what this means at all or how to fix it, so any help would be gratefully accepted.

Sounds like your motherboard only supports 4xAGP (to run at 8x both the motherboard and the gfx card have to have 8x).
I'll test a Geforce 4 ti4200 in it and see if that works first though.

Well, thanks for your help, and answer to question above wud be cool. Anyways, off to buy a new gfx card.
It was because the fan wasnt working properly, and by the time i had noticed, it was too late, the card was damaged.
I was angry as it was about 3 months old.
