I hate it when people are like "Micheal Jackson is a freak", "He is sick".

How dare they. I mean, come on this is micheal jackson. The king of all music. He is the biggest music arist ever, i dont see how people think they have the right to critisize him.

After watching the Martyn Basheer interview, i had more respect for him. I dont hate martyn, he did his job and got the answers.

But come on, back in the 90's and 80's people were fainting at the site of him. He was the richest man alive.

I think micheal jackson is a legend. Respect him.
What do you think about MJ, with all this child abuse and stuff?

Whoops, missed Jacko's sales figure off. It was something like 58.6 million. And those figures are probably just from the US, although there won't be too much change to the top few places worldwide.

Some artists seem to have got there mainly by putting out best of compilations. I was just looking at some figures for best selling albums of all time - The Eagles best of was top, selling over 30 million, and also Elton John's best of was there too. Basically, they're putting out the same music again and it's counted towards what they've sold. The only reason The Eagles best of sold so well is because people know Hotel California'll be on it, and it saves having to look at their studio albums made at the time to find which one it's on. If you take away the best of album, The Eagles wouldn't even be above Jackson.

Nonononono.

Whatever respect I had for you has just dissintegrated.
The Eagles are superb.
Loads of their songs are great - although I see what you're saying.
Meh. Why did you have to pick The Eagles?

I'm not saying they're a bad group. But the thing is, they're listed as selling 80+ million. Over thirty million of this comes from a compilation of stuff from other albums. So essentially, the same music is being counted twice. I'm saying that best ofs shouldn't be allowed to be counted, that's all.

The Eagles best of sells particularly well because it's the obvious choice when people want Hotel California, just like a Led Zeppelin best of is the obvious choice when you want Whole Lotta Love or Stairway to Heaven. Nothing personal against the Eagles, but they have a false placing in the charts.

Yeah.

But having said that, Hotel California is a God damned fantastic track.

Just going to pop this, because it's being obscured by that damned list.
