Its taken me a while, but talking to people about my favorite bands has lead me to discover that they are all Industrial Metal bands. Well fancy that! I thought they were all different.

So if anyone wnats to recommended me more good industrial bands I would be much obliged.

Now, how does my love of Britney and Christina fit in with that I wonder. ;)

Yup. Soundgarden are better IMHO though.

Their early material is class (before "Troublegum"). Their newer stuff sucks......

Soundgarden are/were excellent, and yes, it's Chris Cornell(sp) from Audioslave. Far better than Audioslave though.

Also, Rage Against the Machine are superb.

You might like Soundgarden, Swervedriver or Therapy, but they may be a bit tame for your tastes :D

Which bands are they if you don't mind me asking?

Ok, Some Industrial bands.

· Nine Inch Nails (not strictly Industrial now, but were “pretty hate machine”, “broken”, “fixed”. Trent is exploring new music styles now)
· Ministry
· KMFDM
· Front 242
· Frontline assembly
· 16 volt
· Meat Beat Manifesto (again, not strictly ind)
· Pitchshifter (“www.pitchshifter.com”, “deviant”)
· Carbon 12 (seriously heavy industrial)
. Fear Factory (sort of)

Quite easily. I listen to all the bands I’ve listed above, but also love dance music like Orbital, Underworld and The Chemical Brothers. I also enjoy Hip hop like Outkast, and think the Sugarbabes 3 album is excellent.

Just because you listen to rock / metal, doesn’t mean you can’t like other genres of music. I have had many arguments with rockers / metelers / greasers about this.

Them - “You listen to dance music?” (while in the local rock pub, "Trillians")
me – “yup”
them - “but you can’t if you listen to bands like nin and ministry”
me – “erm, why not?”
them – “because you can’t”
me – “why?”
then – “because real rockers don’t listen to dance music. Its for trendies. rockers don't listen to it”
me – “explain why they can't”
them – “because they just can’t…….”
me – “………………………….”

(I consider myself a rocker / greaser whatever you want to call them BTW)

Closed minded “follow the alternative heard” sheep most of them, and just as bad as trendies for the most part…………….

Be your own person.

Hmm, well I have to say I'm not a big fan of any of those, so I can't really recommend anything.

Genres have strange names, I'd just call that music 'Metal' and keep it simple.

Name some artists that fit into this group, I'm still unsure what it is.

apparently its something to do with a mix of electronic music and guitars...

a bit like 80s electronica with a heavy metal band along for the ride.
