Is there anyway of filtering them when searching for stuff?

It's getting stupid now, even old songs have that crackly crap on them.
I mean come on, I'm only downloading them to see if the album is worth buying.

Whatever you do, Don't use iMule.

Well, I've never used Kazaa or any of the others, but I've been using LimeWire (purely for sampling music to buy, you understand) for about three months and came across my first fake file yesterday.

So: yes, it's pretty good.

I once had a track that had AOL Instant Messenger alerts going off though it, as if the person making the file recorded in WAV then converted to MP3 (or something like that).

I don't think you can filter that stuff though, as it is designed to appear as the real thing for piracy reasons isn't it?

The worse bits are where you get about 30-45 seconds of a song then this horrific, speaker-blowing screech.
