I would like to know you all think of donnie darko i love it and i have it on dvd. do you like or do you hate it?

See, not trying to single you out Dringo, but this is the kind of comment that makes me spit coffee out all over my monitor as I guffaw with laughter. This is where I think a lot of the hype from the film stems, from people thinking they're 'different' and 'hip' because they've seen an independent movie and not many people have heard of it.

It's good, don't get me wrong. It's original and all, but the best film ever? no way in hell.

As for people talking about the sucess of the film. It's actually been amazingly sucessful for an independent movie. For a film that doesn't have any of the major film studios backing it, to get this amount sucess in this day and age is actually very suprising.

It's good, but how anyone could ever class it as the best film ever created is beyond me.

I bought a rental version of the video and the DVD... I also have the original release of the soundtrack.

I purchased the DVD as soon as i'd finished watching it.

Absolutely brilliant.

the dvd has some great deleted scenes and a easter eggs with two deleted scenes.

I was lucky to catch it at the cinema, you can truly appreciate it that way. If the Directors cut is released in theatres I recommend you all go and see it there.
