History tests on monday in both subjects. Too many people too AS history and so they're cutting people off the course if they screw up in this test, so I need lots of help in form of revision notes.

I'm guessing some of you will have done this history course in previous years or some of you may be doing it now. Well I was ill this week and missed all the revision lessons and so im in a tight spot (and not the good kind).

If you can give me notes or related essays or anything, please do.

Cheers.

The 1905 revolution occured as the working classes lives in terrible conditions and the peasants had no representation and after emapcipation had been repressed and put under economic slavery.

The itellegentsia related to the works of Marx and his ideas and sparked a series of Marxists who turned the ideas to revalutionary ones. The Jews were victimised by progroms and they were a wealthy and educated opposition to the Tsar. The rich Jews supported the working class revolts by providing them with weapons and equipment.

The first revolution came in 1905 but failed, however two revolutions in february and october of 1917 were both sucessful. In the first the Tsar was gotten rid of and in the second the communists seized power of the country and soviets were set up around the country.

- how does that sound for what i've learnt today?

Hmmm

Never heard of them, the Whigs were the more liberal party in the 19th/20th century hence why they became the Liberal Party. Talk about laissez-faire or something and reforms.

Liberal Tories, Lord Liverpool, Britain in the late 19th century.

The Liberal Tories were the new tory party and then got beaten by the Whigs, I think.
