How do you wear yours, on or off?

Don't ever have it done, it sounds extremely painful and unnecessary. Don't have a link though.

First up it is more an African custom. Big in places like Nigeria etc.

Secondly it is done because it is thought women are oversexed. Which any man can tell you really isn't the case.

there are numerous different "operations" that are done. it depends on whoever is doing it I guess.

It usually involves the removal of the clitoris though.

I think it's odd though that most people associate these practices with poorer countries. Sigmund Freud himself apparently had a view that female circumcision was a good thing.

Being an arab and all, I would like to stand up and say tis doesn't happen everywhere.

It doesn't make sense at all.

Nor can I. It is one of the most vile customs ever in existence.

How anyone can take a knife (or even just a sharp bit of stone according to some sources), mash around down there and then expect her to be happy to carry your children just doesn't make sense.

I can undrstand the reasons for circumcision in boys, but how anyone can justify it in girls I really don't know.

Apparently in some middle eastern countries it is compulsory that all girls are circumcised at a young age.

I've read about this and yes, you'll wish you hadn't asked! Sounds extremely painful.
