Down my local wetherspoons, Sundays-Thursdays they sell bottled drinks (reef, bud and smernof ice to name but a few) at 2 for £3 which is rather nice!
Tonight i was down the wetherspoons and got my 2 reefs for £3 when i noticed a sign saying 'Beware Falling Prices:Bottled drinks now only £1.29, includes Reef' Now if i'm not mistaken 2x£1.29=£2.58 therefore, wetherspoons have made 42p out of me buying 2 at the same time.
Now i'm not petty but i'm still a poor struggling student and that 42p can buy me crisps and a chocolate bar (if i was to budget well) which would also be my lunch.
But if u look at the bigger picture for every 10 people who use the 2 for £3 deal, wetherspoons makes £4.20. Considering that Wetherspoons does get quite packed during week nights due to the large amount of Students/Bums which means that they can easially get £21.00 a night or more. Now X's that by 5, then by however many wetherspoons there are in the country and we are all being taken for mugs!
So Join me in a campaign against these so called 'falling prices' and complain or buy drinks separatly!
Thanks you and good night
(i am VERY bored)
> Best burgers in Glasgow. With a pint, for £3.
Where?
Our local wetherspoons is like the bar from star wars. Lots of weird folk and neds.
> Take one up. Pay. Go away. Take another up. Pay. Sawted.
but oh the effort
they don't play music, the birds are less than jolly. what else does it have to offer?
Learn to see that deal in every bar if you go to uni.
