Are any of you lot a drummer/do you play the drums? (And yes, those questions are different).

Just asking out of curiosity.
And I don't want people chipping in saying, "No, but I play the guitar" etc, because that's not the question.
And I don't care about your pitiful guitars.

Already killed the doctor (a face hugger rip off ate his face) and the tough guy bites it about half way through. Inspired by The Thing, there aren't any female characters, so unless the main character (and I haven't even decided who the main character will be - the tough but kind sargent, the young but experienced soldier or "the new guy") is guy, no running off to have sex.

So far I have someone (whoever the main character is) setting off the explosives to kill all the aliens, and himself before the aliens can turn his brains into jelly. Exactly. Not very original indeed.

The medic gets killed as do the other useless soldiers, especially the really tough one and the leader. And the hero makes off with a bird he goes back to rescue while destroying the alien compound.

Indeed, I seem to remember you going on about that in between forum member bashing posts. Either that, or I'm making it up and am, in fact, insane.

"Beeyatch."

Indeed.

Goatboy, if you want to be of any use to the world, help me come up with an original ending to my OH SO un-original screenplay about soldiers holed up in a building against hordes of aliens. Eh? Let's see you pull THAT off! Work a miracle.

Music shops? Or rehearsal studios usually have a couple of house kits around they may let you hire for the evening.
Failing that, befriend a drummer and get him to teach you.
But don't bail out after 2 lessons saying "this is hard", because your teacher will hate you forever.
Er...I'd imagine

I know this is bait, so I'll take it.
I was being modest by not mentioning ability.
However, since called on it? I'm goddamn good, to the point where a drummer from a well known band asked to me play on his side-band project as a guest drummer.
And I am.

So blow that out your drink-driving oily-pant wearing WWF existence.
Beeyatch.

I started by using my schools drums but someone else taught me how to play.

www.mxtabs.net has a drum section but ive never been on it so i dont know what its like but the guitar and bass sections are helpful so it might be worth a look.

I used to play the drumms and i wasn't too bad. My house is too small to fit a drum kit in tho so i got a bass guitar instead. i'd love to take it up again tho.

any of you know any songs with good drum solos (or bass solos for that matter), the guitarists seem to take all the glory.

The only one i can think of is Moby Dick by led zeppelin. The drumming in that is truely fantatic.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
