No, these are advantages of not being a complete and utter retard. Being a regular has no difference, just as long as you don't act like a complete spaz, asking people 'chat' and what their favourite console is about ten times, then people won't single you out as a t***.
But, as it happens, these forums seem to attract them like a magnet. I just don't see why people can't just get back to eating glue and making castles out of lego, it's the best for everyone.
