Really? Never? You mean you never camped out in your garden with your mates as a kid?

I haven't slept in a tent before but will have in a year. No, that's not a new year's resolution, I'm just going camping.

I once went camping to Oban in October with a bunch of mates. Two of whom thought it would be funny to build a rope swing that went over the edge of a cliff. Then they thought it would be funny to go on it naked. Apparently it chafed. Serves them right.

Tents are a riot. But can be cold.

In gardens - obviously loads.

And a couple of years ago four of us went across to the lake district and camped there. Well, I say camped, but it was more like set up a tent with all the dozens of others (busy place) have a BBQ which we turned into a fire (despite the no fires rule) and then wake up to find the Queen Mother had died. Not exactly roughing it, but as you'd expect, we didn't get much sleep.

once it fell down so we just slept outside!
and i been to America twice and slept in huge Army tents for 2 weeks
