What about the books or DVD/Videos?
Harry Potter books are porbably better, although I havent read them I have heard they're good - especially for younger people like you.
Lotr is hard reading and takes the best readers a good month or two to tread through.
Film wise, LOTR wins hands down, its brilliant and the effects are excellent. Harry Potter films are just a cash-in on the sucess of the books.

I had nothing against Potter - it wasn't bad, good for the kiddies if it gets them reading. Then comes the totally piece of cockshag that was the 5th one. Utterly awful book, make me cringe and reach for the lighter.
