I am Dave Excellent! But where have I existed before?
Does anyone know, or remember my twisted feats of excellence?

Ah, the infamous Macca.
It was David 'Macca' McCandles if that helps.

I remember ZERO. I remember them having a reviewer called Macca (I think) and he just before the reviews section they used to tell little stories in each reviewers section, Maccas always involved Kalashnikovs or other guns of some sort. Am I right?

I saw you once on TV with a paper bag on your head.

And in Australia they strapped you to the underside of a plane but the straps broke and you fell off and died.

And there was this one time, in England, when you were crushed up in a car but a hand was left sticking out.

Zero was pretty good and didn't take itself too seriously (well, it had Duncan McDonald in it, so it couldn't really)

Mr Cursor indeed.

But do you remember the Robocop special TV edition?

ZERO was the best. toward the end of its life it had comic book style stories about the writers I had grown to know and love. It got canned when I still had 5 issues left on my subscription.

Multi format. It was around the Atari ST and Amiga warfare days. It had great cover discs and silly stories and characters (such as Dave excellent) as well as all the usual news and reviews. Does no-one remember it.

ZERO magazine? Never heard of that before. Earilest magazine I bought was Commodore Format, with that cartoon geeky kid in it.

Great demo tapes mind... what was Zero? Multi-format magazine or dedicated?
