I got 6 A stars at GCSE
Over a balcony, MJ dangled his baby
Ireland won a contest for the sexiest lady
It’s the year we dropped bombs on Iraq
Saddam was toppled and the country taken back
We dropped bomb after bomb onto the ground
Searching for weaponry that we never found
It’s the year I learnt of a liar named Blair
And Bush, the big gimp; hey, it’s only fair
I found out the whole damn system is corrupt
Whilst Johnny Wilko won England the rugby world cup
We were graced with Two Towers & Return of the King
I went to Manchester to see Chester Bennington sing
Psychotic Derren Brown shot a gun at his head
Stupid David Blaine sat in a box, nearly dead
The end of The Office came, quite sadly
Dawn fell in love with Tim, rather madly
Away to Madrid went the lady-boy Beckham
The Trotters legacy ended in Peckham
Bob Monkhouse, the comic legend, sadly died
Well, that was 2003, what a ride!
