I am sure we have all come across a time when we have been awaiting a release of a game, for weeks and weeks and then the day it comes out you go and purchase it at your local software store happily and of course exciteted.

Then you arrive at your house start up your console/PC and begin playing non-stop without even taking a glance at the manual. Without even knowing it you have been playing for 10 hours straight without the recommended dose of rest (does anybbody actually take a rest for 10 mins every hour? not me...:D) and you have just spent the whole Saturday playing, forgetting about meals, toilet and of course to pick up a family member from the airport. Then you fall asleep later that night only to awake and play the game again for the whole of that Sunday. Then tragedy, Monday work/school looms and you are parted from your new found best friend.

Now this may seem quite normal to a few of gamers (myself) and some may think I have lost it. The point of this was to show how games can have effects on people, ir is not just a few megabytes flying about a screen.

Now the first case of this (disease you could call it) was when I purchsed Warcraft, I was young and played it through the weekend non-stop forgetting to do homework and since then a few cases have happened again involving Rollercoaster Tycoon and Championship Manager and I have relised it is quite unhealthy when you think about it, hours on end looking at flashing screen, mind only focused on movement of controls BUT enough of that it is worth it to me...:D

I wonder when the next case shall occure?

Don't stare into a screen too long! And don't buy anything as addictive as Final Fantasy! lol.......

I was sort of like that with Mario Tennis. Come to think of it, I was like it with a lot of my games, but never that bad. I never neglected a family member of missed church! Apart from that one time....

:D

MSR and GP2 had that effect on me.

It's true what you say, such games are great. Warcraft really was good, Warcraft3 will be out soon too (end of the year maybe actually). Still it had better be better than Diablo2, which i'm very angry with because I was playing it for hours on end when I suddenly realised it doesn't have the lastability of the original (which I would happily be playing all day every day if it weren't for the fact that Diablo2 soured me on the whole B.Net thing). Still, I hope Black and White is one of "Those Games" and from all i've heard of it, it should be. Also Conker's bad fur day would be good, but can I have two at a time? Unlikely, but since B&W will be out later it shouldn't matter. When is Conker out anyway? I thought it was out now.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
