I don't know about you, but I seem to be having trouble getting in-touch with people using my mobile phone. More precisely; with text-messaging.
Now, I've sent several messages to... about 6 different people since Christmas Eve, and yet, not one of them has sent me a reply!
My messages have gotten through to some people, I know (but, they only seem to be people I DON'T want to talk to - like my mum, sister and familly miles-away, up-north).
It's bloody ironic for this time of year, really...
The only people - and the one-person - I want to send text-messages to, and yet, it doesn't seem to be working!
Better yet, everyone around me, at home, seems to be texting back-and-forth like crazy!
Now, I did notice, originally, that when initially sending a message (all of which I have been charged for) it would take the best part of 30-seconds-to-one-minute before the text would actually go-through and "Message Sent" would appear. But that was only on the 24th...
Since Christmas Day, they've be taking only a second-or-two longer than usual. But I still cannot seem to get hold of ANYONE I want to! :(
So, perhaps the lines are, just, "really busy"?
But then... How come everyone-else around me is texting fine?!
Is it because I'm with Vodafone?
Thanks to their new "mascot" in David Beckham, and the sponsorship-deals with Man United and in Cricket, have they now become `everybody'sī favourite network or something??? (Then again, it wouldn't surprise me!)
Trouble is, I can't think of anyone I know who's with Vodafone. And even if there is anyone; chances are, it's someone I cannot contact!
Yes, I've tried phoning them. But that doesn't seem to be working out too-good, either. It's always "Busy"....
I can reach someone a good 2-hour-drive-away, yet, nobody with 5-miles seems able to "hear" me...!
Is anyone having any troubles like this? Or have you in the build-up to Christmas? I'm interested to know - especially if you, too, are with Vodafone.
I hope I'm not alone in this... I've only dropped my phone once, yet, that was barely a 2-foot drop....
> O2, they've jacked the price up the callous b*stards.
i got 2 o2 SIMs..ones with 300 texts a month free and normal text prices cost 10p but my other o2 SIM charges me 12p per text and i get no free messages..surely it would be the other way round..im not complaining touch wood

Phones suck - they should bring out transporters next.
