I can't believe it. I've been in about 15-20 shops in the last 3 days, browsing and buying little things here and there, and not one single person has wished me a Merry Christmas! Tescos? No! Virgin? No! Even The works, who are grateful for any sort of custom at any time of the year failed to send me away full of the Christmas spirit! Dunno about you, but when I used to do shop work (it was only 5 years ago), we were told to say it whether we were serving customers or not. I'm not a Christmassy person, but I always say it around this time of year because it's polite to do so. Do any of you lot work in shops? What's the general consensus on festive greetings nowadays?

You should definetly always try and give a festive greeting whether the person who is recieving wants it or not. It shows you care and it is also polite. Merry Christmas Monkey man.
