United have been linked with an approach for Saha for some time and earlier this week, the 25-year-old admitted he would relish a move to Old Trafford.
Fulham have repeated their insistence that Saha is not for sale but did admit that United were leading the chase for his signature.
Well this is a surprise, i woulden't of expected United to go for him...
Thoughts?
> United would be far better off going for Defoe.
I['m sick of hearing this. He's average at best, and the only aspect of his game at which he truly excels is being sent of quite regularly.
Nobody with any sense will buy such a player in the January window for a start, as he'll miss Jan and half of Feb through suspension. That is, assuming he doesn;t get sent off again over Christmas.
i heard he was after kezman who psv bought to replace nistlerooy
While Ferguson HAS said he intends to bring-in another striker during the transfer window, he has also said that he plans on bringing-in a "Champions' League goal-scorer", rather than the very-first, convenient name at the top of his list.
Saha's alright, but he's not THAT-good.
He's very in-experienced in European Football - especially for the Champions' League. He'd only be good `domestically´; but even then, I doubt he'd prove to be a better choice than some.
I'd still like to see Djibril Cissé in a United shirt...
As for Defoe, he just reminds of Anelka from a few seasons back. Arrogant fool. Like when he put in a transfer request 24 hours after they got relegated.

i think laurens doing a service and i have faith in toure and campbell. it would be nice to see one of the good youngsters come through a bit.

completely true. we need 11 outfield players so we can have denny the architect, thierry and then jeremy hanging in the box (aswell as the 2 ranks of 4. however, any team could do with a 12th man...
Per-fer-fer-fer-fectomundo!

arsenal need to sort out there back end first. two centrebacks and a right back being order of the day. use aliadere a bit more he'll get the tap ins.
