Well, the homepage isn't so random, its always the same one, it does just randomly set itself though!

www.search-space.com is the name and for no reason, my computer keeps setting this as my homepage. i've been into the control panel to set my homepage back to normal but it just sets itself back to the above again! Its really annoying.

anyone have any idea what it could be?

Homepage hijacking. It should be pretty easy to get rid of:

The best preventative measure is to stop visiting porn sites, which is a shame because it renders half the web off limits.

Whilst you are there, Download Ad-Aware 6, It allows you to remove any nasy spyware from your computer that is usually received during porn-viewing.

I've got this problem too. However I use HiJackThis to remove the command that changes my homepage, but every time the computer is restarted its back again! Any ideas??

(system restore is off)
