According to research, air travel apparently played a part in the rapid spread of SARS. Now forgive me for being sceptical, but isn't this blatantly obvious? Actually wasting time and money to carry out these types of research is stupid. Right, off to sulk.

I doubt we'll see another major outbreak of it though, as it's well known how to handle the situation now.
This is a bit ironic timing, since the news reported a Chinese man came diagnosed with SARS yesterday.
Does that include the likelihood of George Bush not being an utter hopeless retard?
When the media/government uses the term 'wiped out' or 'eradicated', they are referring to the developed world, america thought it had wiped out malaria in its country, wrong! Fair enough there was only a few isolated cases in the late 1990's and it has never re-appeared again but they learnt that the viruses propagate and mutate in the third world countries and that they can be easily transported anywhere in the world within 24 hr's, I strongly believe that the eradication of a virus is a close as anything can come to impossibilty.
