Christmas has no meaning anymore to me.... why do we put up decorations, is it only a day where friends and family exchange presents and spend time together?
People do 'christmas' parties a week or more before christmas day?! nothing christmassy about that.

Perhaps what they mean is that shops start selling christmas cards and paper etc as soon as the kids have gone back to school. People put their decorations up before december has even begun.
I've noticed that people have said such a phrase just to sound intelligent and diiferent yet try and take it away from them and they cry.
