What is it with parents and games?

Most of them see something against our hobbie and form of entertainment when some of them play games for themselves! I think Meka is for example.

You see, I would rather spend time playing on my latest game then talk to my mum about how work was. Maybe she sees them as unsocial as said in another topic.

Ok, I am mostly on my PC these days in my room and when I am playing my favourite games and chatting to mates she sees it as a crime that I am in my room alot! Arent most kids?

Anyway, do any of you have parent/games related storys you would like to tell?

I think my mate got chased round the house with a knife before by his Mum, maybe game realted.

I don't remember this, but my brother says my mum used to spend hours playing MsPacMan on the Atari.

My dad used to like Paperboy in the arcaeds with the handlebars, apparently.

Parents Parents think the meaning of games is to sway you away from other things but instead i'd rather play a game than talking about schoolwork.

When I was younger, my father and I used to play the Atari together. Since I moved onto the NES and so forth, however, he sort of lost interest in it all. He even, get this, refused to try Tetris.

Most parents grew up in a time when there was no such thing as computers, television wasn't on during the day, and think, quite fairly, that their children should do the same.

Surely when any of you become parents (if you're not already), then you won't neccessarily like your children using some new technology that you've never heard of!
