"Don't know if you've heard but the record of the year is Westlife's Mandy, the only thing is it isn't."
How I woke up the house with my laughter. And that's not to mention his comments on teachers "unsociable hours" according to pauline fowler:
"I'm sorry I can't come out tonight I finish at 3:40"
"I'm sorry I can't come to see you I only get 3 months holiday a year"
Ah it makes me smile just thinking about it.

See, that's what I thought. And then I actually watched TV Burp and it's bloody hilarious.
Very crap some of the time. Like the Pop Idol judges thing was very, very unfunny. So is whatever they do right at the end - a song or whatever with some down-and-out celeb trying to pretend they're happy with their situation.

You, my friend, have taste.
It's the last Absolute Power tonight.
Bah.
I've seen a few of his TV Burp shows and not found them funny either - and it's not a show I make a point of watching.
But it's odd that you should post this thread, because I too was laughing hysterically at most of this week's show, especially the Record of the Year comment.

I've seen Bo Selecta once, and didn't laugh at all.
Avid Merrion was funny in the little sketches during Big Brother, but now is just totally annoying.
I watched the first 2 episodes, then the one last night but none of them raised the slighest hint of a smile. The idea yesterday with the fake disease was pretty good, but I didn't find it funny. At all.
I kind of feel like I'm expected to find it funny, and expected to love it. Because there's good ideas, and Fry's in it.
But, for me, there was nothing redeeming.
