I hate you all.
Don't know what to do though, what should I learn and stuff? Where do I learn spells?

My initial reaction as well, I think I put in my WoW Impressions thread that I thought it was good but couldn't quite see why everyone was going mad for it.
Now though I can safely say it is there with Shenmue as my favourite game of all time, it is truly a masterpiece and before long you will start to like it more and more and it will take up more and more of your time.
Bullet summed it up, just when you are getting bored with one area you are usually a high enough level to move onto the next area. You may have to go back to the previous area at a later date but by then it will be all fresh again. The way it has been designed (the area structure etc) is truly remarkable, never played an RPG that remains fun over 150 hours in whilst still offering a massive challenge and a fresh look each time you go back to the previous area. The first time I went to the Wetlands it was around 2:00am early Saturday morning and it was dark so I didn't want to venture too far out, I played the game until around 8:00am so I sat through the sunrise etc and it felt like a completely different area in daylight.
Awesome awesome game. Played Chaos Theory once since getting it, haven't bothered with the LIVE section as in all fairness I could happily sit playing WoW for the next 12 months as it stands at this moment, even when I do reach level 60 or what ever I will definitley consider going back to the beginning with a different class.

If that's all it was, I wouldn't pay either. When it opens up, it opens up. Just as you think you've got a handle on it, it throws something new to learn at you.
It's when you get higher in level. You start exploring (believe me, there's LOADS to explore), encountering the real enemy, not just NPCs/mobs. I was only level 26 and did my first raid in Hillsbrad/Southshore. Fan-fooking-tastic. 40+Alliance vs 40+Horde with the occasional Bear getting in the way. No ganking going on, just pure war - we fought them back to their safe area, they retaliated us back to our safe area. I think we won, although everyone eventually left anyway.
Then there's Instances - party-only 'dungeons' where you really are an integral part of a team of up to 5 people.
If you fancy a break, just head to the nearest lake and do a bit of Fishing. Not into seafood? Knock up a campfire and cook yourself some BBQ Wolf Steaks!
Do a bit of mining, make some weapons, or skin some animals to make armor.
The possibilities are endless, and although it is possible to get a little bored of being in the same area for too long, just when that boredom hits, you should be good enough to move on to a more challenging area.
Damn, I can't wait till work finishes now :(

It's good and adictive, but from today's stuff I can't really justify the point of £8 a month. I'm guessing that once you get further into the game the other players become far more significant?

Fret not, Hunters are gradually being fixed and there are a welcome amount of improvements going into pets.
You'll eventually be able to spend all those Training Point you'll have no doubt have saved by now on new skills and abilities that your pet can use, such a poison attacks, furthermore they'll help you out in PvP, for example, say you get stuck by one of those Earthroot spells, your pet will gallantly charge across the battlefield and hit at the troublesome root until you are free.

Bitten. That's it got a hold of you now...
What happened to my day?!
