It's on an FTP if anyone wants to get it (it's 70mb), or alternatively, I'm on MSN if anyone wants me to give them it?
Just leave your MSN address and I'll send it to you.
I assume that this post is of particular interest to Your Honour, so if someone could tell him to post in here, that would be nice ;)
(P.S. YH, you could put this on your website maybe? Think about it.)
> Cheers for the comments ladies (yes, that includes you IB) =)
I willllllllllll killlllllllllllllllll youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Verrr good ! I like the one with the "Get up and dance, get up and dance! Y'all get up and dance, yeah!"
---------------
Hehe, it's a good one that :) It's great to scratch with aswell, although I daren't do it in my mixes because it doesn't sound good on CD. Only good when it's done live.
If I get a good enough response, I may end up putting all my mixes on here for you's to download.
=D
Didn't take too long to download, worth it too. ;)
The beat mixing itself is essentially flawless, it took me the better part of 9 months to grasp this single concept (yes, I'm shít, but I didn't have lessons, unlike scally boy here). The timing in the mixes isn't 100%, but this is the sort of thing that comes from intimate knowledge of your record collection, and takes a while to develop anyway.
I spent much time bobbing my head, imperceptibly waving my arms and mentally recollecting the club atmosphere while listening to this. Again, I'm biased, but the selected tunes had a very 'old school' feel about them, which an aged clubbing ass like myself is always going to appreciate.
I liked it. No particularly forced mixes, although I could Hear Stu playing about with the fader a few times (don't we all - you should have been there when I first acquired the Run DMC accapella), as I say, the beat timing was exemplary, and overall I see no reason why you couldn't grab yourself a job in some cheesy club for £200-400 a night over the weekends. A little work on the timing, and who knows what might happen?
Top stuff. Much appreciated.
